René Vleugels studied economics and received his PhD degree in policy
sciences in 1990 at the University of Nijmegen. He worked for the
University Maastricht, and specialised in technology transfer and
intellectual property rights. He is co-founder and managing director of
MUbio Products BV and co-founded NovoVacs BV, which has recently been
merged with MUbio.
Frans Ramaekers is a chemist by training and received his PhD degree in
Biochemistry in 1981 at the University of Nijmegen. In 1989 he received
the Bristol-Meyers Oncology Award for his work on lung cancer. In June
1989 he was appointed professor of molecular cell biologyat the
Maastricht Uni¬versity. Currently he is president of the Dutch Society
for Cell Biology, secretary of the European Cytoskeleton Forum and board
member of the Federation of Dutch Scientific Societies and the European
Society of Experimental Biology.
Stefan van den Eijnde received his Masters degree in Biomedical Sciences
at the University of Leiden in 1992. He received his PhD degree in 1999
for research of plasma membrane alterations. He held various research
and clinical lab positions in Embryology, Molecular Genetics and
Molecular Cell Biology. In 2002, he co-founded NovoVacs BV, now part of
MUbio.
