Monoclonal antibodies are a key element in the tool kit of cancer researchers around the world. Since the discovery of hybridoma technology, NKI-AVL(Netherlands Cancer Institute-Antoni van Leeuwenhoek Hospital ) has developed and tested a large number of ‘monoclonals’. A significant percentage of these now feature in the catalogues of suppliers to the research industry.

As part of its efforts to centralise the production and distribution of purified antibodies for the research industry, NKI-AVL has concluded a partnership with MUbio Products BV.

About MUbio Products BV

MUbio Products BV was founded in 2000, as a spin-off from Maastricht University’s Department of Molecular Cell Biology. MUbio focuses on the manufacturing and international distribution of antibodies for a variety of purposes, including cancer research. The company also develops protein targets for diagnostic applications and vaccination. MUbio’s activities benefit both scientific research and clinical practice. In the MUbio laboratories, located in the Maastricht BioPartner Center, hybridoma cell lines are used to produce high-quality antibodies which are used around the world.
